United Way of the Lakeshore knows that a strong vibrant community is driven by caring, collaborative, innovative leaders who champion results that change community conditions for the people of our communities. Each year United Way recognizes the champions who exemplify this work in their profession or volunteer work to serve as a role model for others to aspire to attain. United Way annually recognizes a partner agency employee and an agency volunteer for their significant community impact contributions. United Way of the Lakeshore is pleased to announce it has received more than $78,000 in campaign pledges from the residents of Oceana County.

The 2009 campaign so far has raised $78,540, or 87% of the $90,000 goal.
