Family Empowerment Program
- We will be transitioning the 2Gen tutoring model to the Family Empowerment Program and expanding it into Ravenna and the White Lake area. This model maximizes dual-generation education for families through project-based learning. It has been shown to engage families in building content knowledge, work-based skills, leadership skills, and increasing self-efficacy and social networks. It provides family engagement that also connects participants to adult education and PK-12 learning objectives.
Family Literacy
- Read Muskegon works to eradicate poverty through holistic education solutions for families leading to improved literacy rates and job readiness. RM programs target functionally illiterate adults, families living in generational poverty, at-risk 0-5 yr olds, citizens returning from incarceration.
